We will not be deterred by last week’s unjustified police response! We will march again this Wednesday and we are calling for a large community turn-out. To ensure the safety of participants we have agreed to keep this week’s march entirely on the sidewalks and we will have extra legal observers and march leaders present. Gather at Townsend Park at 7:45pm where we will hold a brief teach-in and begin the march shortly after 8:00pm.
We will be marching every Wednesday evening throughout the entire summer in solidarity with the striking students of Quebec, in defense of public education, in opposition to austerity internationally and to reclaim our communities. We will always gather in Townsend Park at 7:45pm though our route and ending location will vary week to week. Wear your red patches, bring pots and pans/noisemakers!
