CAUCUS REPORTS: None

WORKING GROUP REPORTS:  Education:  Marc & Sue – David Grosser will speak on El Salvador Solidarity, “Achievements & Challenges,” at Indoor Space, 472 Madison,  Monday 6/18, 6:30 PM.
Colin – Friday, 6/22, Juliet Shen of NYSR will host the Film, “Vincent Chin 30: Standing Up Then And Now,”  about anti-Asian racism and injustice that lead the murder of Vincent Chin.
Elric- Saturday, 6/23, Progressive Potluck Picnic in the Park,  4:30 PM – 10PM, “Occupy Media Discussion” lead by Lehigh University professor, Ted Morgan.  Bring food if you can. For more details contact Elric at ekline@workingfamilies.org. (Presentation will be after GA).
Legal: Colin–Lasts Wednesday’s arrestees will be attending a conference eith attorneys at 10 AM, Tues 4/19 at the City Court on Morton Ave.  This is a technical conference and they are not calling for supporters.
Direct  Action: Colin–We marched in solidarity with striking Quebec studentslast Wednesday. 4 arrests occured. We will march again Weds. 6/20.  Meet 7:45PM Townsend Park.  There will be a meeting immediately after Saturday GA to discuss logistics of the march.
Marc–Next week is end of legislative season at Capitol. Meeting 3PM Sunday, 6/17 Indoor Space to discuss ideas and will also be discussed at next Dir Action Meeting.
Anti-War: Dan K–People who participated at last month’s NATO/G8 protests in Chicago will give a report, Tues 6/19, 7PM-8:30PM, at the Bethelehem Town Hall, 445 Delaware Ave, Delmar.

CAUCUS/ WORKING GRP PROPOSALS:

Indoor Space/Finance:  Colin–Our lease at 472 Madison expires end of July, ’12
Proposed 4 responses options 1). month to month lease at $750/mo. , 2). 3 month lease at $785/mo. , 3). 6 months at $775/mo. , 4).  Choose not to extend our lease.
RESULT:   Consensus was reached that we would renew at 6 months at $775.00 month.  No blocks or stand-asides.  Marc suggested that after new lease is signed we have a fundraiser/”house” warming party.

INDIVIDUAL PROPOSALS:

Dan M proposed we pay to advertise on Facebook to promote OA events/activities.  Dan M. will investigate further and bring back proposal at a future GA.

OTHER BUSINESS:

Announcement: Info-shop meeting to be held Sunday, 6/17, 5PM at Indoor Space.

Sue: Should we get a wheelchair ramp for our Indoor Space. Colin:  Center for Independence did an appraisal and we will need to get back to them.

Colin: recommended we buy 1 or more CSAs at the Occupy Farm coordinated by Michael R.  CSAs are $500 and maybe we could request a break if we were buy several.  We could consider setting up a farm stand 1 time a week or maybe distributing produce in local food deserts. (9 Mile Farm in Clarksville).

Dan M: Albany County Legislature passed 2 year moratorium on fracking. 27-10 veto proof.

June 27 Will occupy Talisman HQs re: Southern Tier fracking issues. This will be a non-arrestable action.  See Dan M for details.
Enviromental WG to resume meeting Monday’s 8PM.  See Dan M.
