Caucus Updates:
Radical Caucus will be meeting Tuesday, 1/17, at 8:30pm at Geordies apartment. Talk to Geordie or Cookie for details.
Working Group Report Backs:
Outreach WG: attended the MLK Jr. community event at Hackett Middle School and tabled for OA.
Legal WG: filed legal papers in federal court this past Thursday challenging the City’s TRO.
Defranchise America WG: temp checked changing its name to the Democratize the Economy WG.
Facilitation WG: announced facilitation trainings will be Saturdays immediately after the 3pm GA and on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month after 6pm GA.
Working Group Proposals:
Indoor Space WG: proposed being authorized to spend up to $400 on the filing fee to appeal our zoning variance denial by the City of Albany. The general assembly reached consensus to approve this proposal with the caveat that the money will not be spent if an alternative indoor locatiion is found, agreed to by GA and can be moved into by February 1st.
Other Business:
An individual who just moved to Albany and was attending their first GA. They do work around protecting small farms and agriculture from large argi-business. They handed out petitions and asked if anyone wanted to connect on food and farming related issues.
