Doug- GE is closing Glens Falls Generator plant; 200 workers in all at risk. They plan to move it down to Florida where pay will be half; less labor laws.
Points out $100 bull horns can be found. Dan-Get in contact with Self-managed factory –leaders; get them aware of participatory options. Conversation on the obstacles; Race to bottom comes to our area. (it has already) Workers preparing to fight. Doug his word of history of the different workers unions involved.
S17- Gail reports back. A morning press conference; support of fast food workers; good turnout- speak out, marched to Washington sq, TTP teach in. This was a separate organized event; among others. Spent most time downtown around Liberty Sq; more interesting stuff.

S17 Good turnout for Robin Hood tax. Good teach-Ins, Positive buzz for new mayor. Similar issues abound around the country. Gail points out that single issue demands like the Robin Hood tax aren’t the right path. Dan points out this is Adbusters policy they push for among others and was mentioned when OWS was started. The point of no silver bullet. (this is paraphrasing).
A group tried to get into the Moreland commission. Ours has moved to meeting rm 3 in the Plaza. Gail live streamed a lot of S17. Needs to be checked out.
Tom- Tents are gone now as Mark Foreen picked one up. He Offers use of vacant lot on Clinton across from the Palace. Talks about Robin Hood tax as well.
