Occupy Albany’s Housing Action working group is leading a march to highlight the discrepancies between the haves and the have-nots in Albany, a city that is extremely segregated, and to underscore the fact the establishment and powers that be do not acknowledge their capacity to remedy urban blight.
WE DEMAND THE CITY OF ALBANY INVEST IN ALL OF ITS NEIGHBORHOODS, COMBAT SYSTEMIC AND INSTITUTIONALIZED RACISM, and FIGHT TO END ECONOMIC INEQUALITY
Details of March and Rally:
Feeder marches will start at Noon from three locations: South End Library, Howe Library, Arbor Hill/West Hill Library, Albany Public Library, Delaware Avenue Branch Library
Feeder marches will gather at Washington Park for a speakout before marching on to the Pine Hills Library for a rally
